OUR HISTORY

CARE TO ACTION, formerly known as Murali Krishna Trust (MKT), was established in 2005 under the Indian Trusts Act of 1882 to serve underprivileged communities in Andhra Pradesh through health and education initiatives. Initially, the organization focused on supporting children in difficult situations by facilitating their education and assisting their families and communities in enhancing their livelihoods. To date, it has supported approximately 22,500 children in accessing quality education and life skills.

CARE TO ACTION continues to empower children from economically and socially disadvantaged backgrounds, focusing on marginalised communities in tribal and rural villages, and urban slums in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Our initiatives include strengthening government Anganwadi centres, primary schools, high schools, and Early Child Care Centres to enhance retention, literacy, and life skills, particularly for girls.

CARE TO ACTION believes in providing quality education along with life skills to every child towards aiming for sustainable human development and a transformed society. It works with the poorest and the most marginalized children, their families, and communities and strives to create inclusive opportunities that enable every child to reach their full potential.
